Hello all !

It's always interesting and thoughtful to write about two different yet inter related segments of food science - Food and Chemistry.

All living matter, including people, animals and plants, consists of chemicals. Chemical substances can play an important role in food production and preservation for example, prolong the shelf life of foods; others, such as colours, can make food more attractive.

Flavourings are used to make food tastier. A major component of food is water, which can range in content from 50 percent in meat products to 95 percent in lettuce, cabbage, and tomato products.

There are more different chemical like lipid, protein, carbohydrates, enzymes etc.Different chemical play a important role in making and processing of food like color, taste, packaging, storage etc.

Chemicals are essential building blocks for everything in the world.

There are different food items which are made by chemical method like by using dry ice is most famous method now a days.
