Corona Virus – An outbreak or A planned release ?

China's President 'Xi Jinping' just wore a simple #RM1facemask to visit those effected areas. As President he should be covered from head to toe but it was not the case. He may have been injected to resist any harm. Does that mean a cure was already in place before the #VirusCorona was released.

A simple yet mindbogglingly theory. Chronology of events and it can't be a mere coincidence. Read and judge yourself. #Covid19outbreak

How to dominate the world quickly? #THEGREATCHINESESTAGE

  • 1. Create a virus and the antidote.
  • 2. Spread the virus.
  • 3. A demonstration of efficiency, building hospitals in a few days.
  • 4. Cause chaos in the world, starting with Europe.
  • 5. Quickly plaster the economy of dozens of countries.
  • 6. Stop production lines in factories in other countries.
  • 7. Cause stock markets to fall and buy companies at a bargain price.
  • 8. Quickly control the epidemic in your country. After all, you were already prepared.
  • 9. Lower the price of commodities, including the price of oil you buy on a large scale.
  • 10. Get back to producing quickly while the world is at a standstill.

Already prepared, with the projects, ordering the equipment, hiring the labor, the water and sewage network, the prefabricated building materials and stocked in an impressive volume. Buy what you negotiated cheaply in the crisis and sell more expensive what is lacking in countries that have paralyzed their industries.

You read more #Confucius than #KarlMarx PS: Before laughing, read the book by Chinese colonels Qiao Liang and Wang Xiangsui, from 1999, “Unrestricted Warfare: China’s master plan to destroy America”, on #Amazon.

#Worthpondering - How come #Russia & #NorthKorea are totally free of #COVID19outbreak? Because they are staunch ally of China. On the other hand #SouthKorea, #UnitedKingdom, #Italy, #Spain and #Asia are severely hit. How come #Wuhan is suddenly free from #VirusCorona?

#China will say that their drastic initial measures they took was very stern and Wuhan was locked down to contain the spread to other areas. I am sure they are using the Antidot of the virus. Why #Beijing was not hit? Why only Wuhan? Kind of interesting to ponder upon.. right? Well ..Wuhan is open for business now. America and all the above mentioned countries are devastated financially. Soon American economy will collapse as planned by China. China knows it cannot defeat America militarily as USA is at present #THEMOSTPOWERFUL country in the world. So use the virus to cripple the economy and paralyze the nation and its Defense capabilities. Wuhan's epidemic was a showcase. At the peak of the virus epidemic.

Some may ask that Bill Gates already predicted the outbreak in 2015 so the Chinese agenda cannot be true. The answer is YES, Bill Gates did predict but that prediction is based on a genuine virus outbreak. Now, China is also telling that the virus was predicted well in advance so that its agenda would play along well to match that prediction.

China's vision is to control the #Worldeconomy by buying up stocks now from countries facing the brink of severe #EconomicCollapse. Later China will announce that their Medical Researchers have found a cure to destroy the virus.

Now, China have other countries stocks in their arsenal and these countries will soon be slave to their master #China.

The Doctor Who declared this virus was also Silenced by the Chinese Authorities.

Looks So #Logical. After all Chinese #stockmarket didn't crash. American and European Markets did. Destroy other markets and be ready to capture them in every way.

Check these 5 tips before you leave Solo

Whether you are a travel enthusiast or already a wanderer of this mighty earth, some or other important things often missed while preparing for the ultimate trip. Such misses eventually lead to some or other issues which may ruin all the fun.

May I request to pitch in here with some hot tips which can save the day?

  • Travel light is a good idea : You are on solo trip. Common sense says that you are alone. This also implies that no one is there to support you when it comes to handling the packing stuff. Make sure you pack light and carry a backpack with essential items all the time

  • Check the mode of money transactions : Whether you are travelling within country or its a much awaited abroad travel, try to have less cash and rely more on digital transactions. If travelling international, you may wish to inform your bank on international card usage. Most of the banks provide this facility from their internet banking. Apply for a good Forex card, which can save you some transaction fees during your stay in destination country

  • Fun stay while you travel : Since you are travelling solo, you may wish to pick the stay which has some fun element. Choose a home stay, or a hostel. These places have good arrangement which may cost you much less than a hotel. Stay exchange programs are trending these days. You may wish to explore that as well.

  • A good camera phone : A good camera phone can be your life saver. Stunning photos along with right apps which gives you more flexibility is much needed especially when you are travelling solo. I used google translator while was in Taiwan and it makes my life much easier in terms of understanding local language and communicating with local friends.

  • Take insurance : Taking insurance is always a good idea. Within India, it may not add more value but certainly during emergency, Insurance can be your guarding angel. On the other hand, there are countries, wherein Hospitals does not provide services until and unless you are insured. Thus, having a reliance insurance is must.

Above are few hot tips which everyone should add to their checklist before they travel solo. Let me know you views by adding more tips in comment section.

Strange incident on NH

This happened about a year ago near Lonavala-Pune.
A guy was driving from Mumbai to Pune and decided not to take the expressway as he wants to see the scenery.
The inevitable happens and when he reaches the ghats his car breaks down - he's stranded miles from nowhere.
Having no choice, he starts walking on the side of the road, hoping to get a lift to the nearest town. It's dark and raining. And pretty soon he is wet and shivering.

The night rolls on and no car goes by, the rain is so heavy he can hardly see a few feet ahead of him.

Suddenly he sees a car coming towards him. It slows and then stops next to him - without thinking the guy opens the door and jumps in. Seated in the back, he leans forward to thank the person who had saved him - when he realizes there is nobody behind the wheel!!!

Even though there's no one in the front seat and no sound of any engine, the car starts moving slowly. The guy looks at the road ahead and sees a curve coming. Scared almost to death he starts to pray, begging the Lord for his life.
He. hasn't come out of shock, when just before he hits the curve, a hand appears through the window and moves the wheel! The car makes the curve safely and continues on the road to the next bend.
Each time they are before a curve, a hand moves the steering wheel just enough to get the car around each bend.
Finally, the guy sees lights ahead. Gathering his courage he wrenches open the door of the silent, slowly moving car, scrambles out and runs as hard as he can towards the lights. It's a small town.
He stumbles into a dhaba, and asks for a drink, and breaks down. Then he starts talking about the horrible experience he has just been through.
There is dead silence in the dhaba when he stops talking
....

and that's when Santa and Banta Singh walk. Santa points at the man and says "Look Banta - that's the weird guy who got into our car when we were pushing it."

Lighted up the mood and be free of daily stress. I hope you liked this short story. Suggest your ideas in comment section.

Stay tuned for more...

Do you have the skill and talent to put together masterpieces?

They are good at what they are good at. Things around them don’t matter. They keep on piling stack of great paintings next to their canvas but without any admirers, forget admirers!

A good percentage of artists worldwide follow their passion as a means of living, for others it is just a passion. Needless to say, the true worth of an art piece is only realized when people buy your work.

One of the notable things here is to identify your audience. You have to find people who can truly understand your work and bear a similar passion as yours.

The only difference is that they are on the other side of the table and cannot play with the painting brush as only you could do.

Art could be anything. An exquisite photograph, painting, caricature, comic skills, paper art, drum work or any other work that requires special skills and creativity.

Everything these days happen on the internet. If you’re still living in the physical world, then you’ll never be able to sell your art.

Desi Daru, Whiskey and Scotch – You think You Know it all?

Desi Daru, Whiskey and Scotch

India is the largest consumer of whiskey globally, accounting for nearly 60% of worlds total liquor by volume. This doesn’t mean that Indians are the heaviest drinkers but it largely has to do with India’s population which is fast inching close to China.

Let me share a few interesting facts, coupled with an info-graphic on Whiskey.

What’s Desi Daru ? – Nothing but an alcoholic drink highly popular in Indian villages and low income rural and urban regions. It is fermented and distilled from molasses which is a by product of sugarcane. Desi daru is made locally with legal and illegal set-ups all over the country.

Tharra is nothing but it’s variant. Illegitimate production of the desi daru is pretty rampant and widespread today.

Now what we drink in urban cities is what we call as ‘Angrezi Sharab‘.

Angrezi Sharab or Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) – is the terminology used by government, businesses and commercial entities. It includes whiskey that is made in India apart from spirits that are imported from outside the country.

Alcoholic percentage in IMFL is usually around 43%. These are mixtures built using neutral spirits that are distilled from fermented molasses.

While India doesn’t have a compulsory definition of whiskey, America and European Union have strict qualifications, defining a drink as Whiskey.

Did you know a whiskey and Scotch are different ? See this infographic to know more –

Motorcycling : Interesting Facts and Statistics

Motorcycling

Last year, Two-wheeler industry in India emerged as the biggest market globally, selling more than 17.6 million units ,which includes motorcycles, scooters and mopeds.

With this, India has surpassed the Chinese market which reportedly sold 16.8 million units last year.

Over the years, China has been focusing more on the car market which is drawing good revenue. Ban on petrol fuel two-wheelers in tier-1 cities is another reason which has been cited for Two-wheelers downtrend.

India on the other hand continues to grow big since 2010. Huge government initiatives in terms of improving small town infrastructure in the recent times, is one of the major reasons for the push.

The market is also capitalizing on women riders which has grown substantially during the last few years. Honda, which currently leads the scooter market, has 35% of women share alone.

Indonesia is next behind India and China. Though it recorded sales of 6 million units last year but the figure was half a million less from 2015.

While scooters and mopeds are not so popular in the western world, it’s the motorcycles that are generally preferred as a means of transportation, utility and leisure travel.

Let me share this amazing infographic on Motorcycles facts and stats from bboffroad team. I am happy to see Indian enthusiasm, making whatever little statement, trying to match the global motorbike fun. Take a look –

Plan Holidays in 2018

Like Holiday's in 2017, 2018 is going to be an extremely wonderful year for the travelers. And, this applies to both frequent and occasional one's. To plan holidays in 2018, you must need to know the days when you can plan holidays. I mean you should know how to club your holidays with your off days in order to make upcoming Holidays an upcoming Holidays an unforgettable events. Let’s look at all the Holidays month by month.

January 2018

The very first day of 2018 is Monday which means possibility to have an extended weekend if clubbed with 30th and 31st December 2017. 26th Jan, 2018 is India’s Republic Day and it’s a national holiday (Friday). The next 27th and 28th are Saturday and Sunday respectively. Here comes the another long weekend. Go ahead and grab it.

You can visit hill stations like ManaliShimlaKasauli etc. You can see and play with snow. During this time of the year, Himachal hills are covered in snow.  Those who are not willing to visit hill station due to cold weather condition can try Rajasthan or Madhya Pradesh tourism.

February 2018

Nothing much in this month except the "Union Budget Fever". However, you still have 13th Feb as one Holiday.

I recommend you to stay put and enjoy with Family. Save your earning for coming big holidays and weekends.

March 2018

March in 2018 have two extended and really long holiday's options. Holi on 2nd can be clubbed with Saturday and Sunday falling on 3rd and 4th respectively. Another comes at the end of March. 29th March is Mahavir Jayanti and 30th is "Good Friday". If you have this day as holiday as per your HR holiday calendar, you are all set for a four days Holiday.

Go visit your hometown and enjoy Holi in the villages of India. If not, then Mathura is a nearby place from Delhi where you can celebrate this colourful festive. August 2018

Unlike August 2017 when you had plenty of options to go on a trip, August 2018 has no opportunity to club Holidays. Enjoy weekday off holidays and watch some super awesome TV series or movies. Yes, you can club movies with Popcorn or Tea 🙂

September 2018

It starts and starts with a extended weekend option. 3rd Sep is Krishna Janmashtami and is falling on Monday.

If you missed to visit Mathura in Holi, then must plan a short trip to Mathura and Vrindavan. You will be enchanted with Hare Rama Hare Krishna chanting all over Mathura.

Another one is 21st Sep (Friday). This year, people are going to celebrate this day as Muharram. This day can be a potential day to add in weekends.

October 2018

A Holiday month. 2nd of October is National Holiday but no weekend attached so either you take leaves in between or stay at home and spend time with Family. From 18th of this month till 21st of this month are days when India will celebrate Dussehra.

5 Wellness Trends To Watch Out For In 2018

2017 saw a dramatic shift in the field of health & fitness. People have gone more conscious about their health than ever.

They now seem to have identified the importance of leading an active lifestyle and consuming healthier foods.

Looking at this, we are even hopeful for 2018. Healthy living would be the focal point.

Today, I predict 5 wellness trends that are expected to surface in the coming year.

  1. Love for food continues but strictly healthy food now -

Growing reliance on technology has led to advent of lifestyle diseases. People perhaps understand that but still fail to include healthier alternatives in their daily lives.

What’s good here is the preference to consider a healthy lifestyle which has gone widespread. Infact, Health and wellness is the next trillion dollar market, which includes beauty and anti-ageing products, fitness & exercising besides food and nutrition.

Consumers are apparently opting for foods and superfoods these days. They are ready to spend more on products to benefit from good health and efficient weight loss.

2018 will witness a rise in the market of healthy and organic foods. Artificial and synthetic flavors will fade gradually.

  1. Shift to other means of transport -

Given our busy schedules, we find it difficult to take out time for daily exercising. But we have discovered other means to it.

For example, many people today prefer cycling to work or walking if their workplace is at a walk-able distance.

This is going to be common in the coming months.

In a country like India, where we continually deal with the problem of rising traffic and dangerous pollution levels, this will help. Cycling is a great way to avoid traffic and save time.

Moreover, our body stays in shape and is not deprived of physical activity.

As times get busier, people will try to include healthier ways in their hectic schedules to achieve fitness.

  1. Healthier alternatives to hardcore drinks -

The ill-effects of alcohol and tobacco are well known. We all know how badly the addition affect our bodies.  While it still seems difficult to ward off the alcohol craze, it’s encouraging to see people considering alternatives.

Hardcore liquors are going to be less preferred. Beer and Wine, which have considerably lesser alcohol content, will be ordered more.

Wine already is one of the most preferred drinks in the west with its flavor catching up fast globally. Wine also offer enormous health benefits as compared to other drinks so all the more reason for promise.

Watch out for new year, the trend is surely going to catch up and to continue in 2018.

  1. Poor lifestyle patterns to induce lifestyle changes for youth -

Young people working in offices are finding it difficult to lead an active life. Desk jobs are causing weight gain, bad posture and other diseases. Another reason for increasing health issues is the extra availability of food choices and poor habits.

Night shifts and skipping meals is common. Binge eating is leading to problems like obesity while eating at odd hours is resulting in nutrient deficiency and poor productivity levels.

However, despite of rise in diseases and other health problems, more and more people are making efforts to eat right and become physically active. 2018 is expected to see a further growth in the percentage of people indulging in an active lifestyle.

  1. SPORTS to take preference over GAMES -

The last decade or so was largely dominated by technology. The trend still continues but the striking difference is rising awareness about the downside it could bring in our day to day lives.

Sports will be considered more over Games. Though there is a thin line between the two but you would always prefer your kids going out and play rather than playing a spell of Temple Run on your smartphone. Isn’t it?

The latter is only entertaining while an activity outdoor is highly beneficial to health and well being.

9 Most Popular Productivity Extensions for Chrome

Friends, this is my first post on NJ diaries. Thanks to Niraj for providing a platform to share things and stuff we all love!

I am happy to be contributing again after so many years.  Although it’s my work that is prompting me to, but I am sure we all are appreciative of intelligent and insightful content.

I have seen diverse topics being talked off here, so I’ll follow the suit. Hope you’ll enjoy!

Productivity is an issue for most of us today. We love multitasking and multi-focusing. This negatively impacts the quality of work but that’s hardly noticed.

Technology is for all and even our employers have caught up with the trend. We are expected to do more, in less time. Not that human efficiency has increased over the years but we are now complimented by technology, which is helping us to be more productive.

I’ll share an interesting infographic today. It speaks about some of the ‘Most Popular Productivity Extensions for Chrome’.

For a fact, Chrome leads the way among all browsers and across all platforms (Including desktop, mobile and tablet) with a global market share of 54.89%.

Safari and UC browser are next in the list but I’m not hoping the gap to shrink anytime soon. These are the recent browser figures by StatCounter.

No wonder why we have millions of Chrome extensions in the market today. The above stats are sufficient to support this claim. While we would be focusing on some Productivity extensions today, Playstore has it all in all categories.

Check this out. It’s a wonderful piece.

5 Effective ways to get rid of Negative thoughts

We all know to stay away from negativity. I am sure you try hard to do so as well. But is it the right approach to deal with negativity?

How do you know that someone else’s negativity is not getting into you slowly. For that matter, how do you know that you are not thinking negative.

The question is,”what is the root cause which cause our mind to think negative” ? or is it the mind mapping which cause us to be negative ?

To find the answer, I read many books and several blogs. There are several opinions around it. For me the closest is “I”. It is “I” who is the problem.

When I am not able to control a situation or when an issue is out of my control against which I tend to surrender, I become Negative.

In more simpler words, we be negative because we are not in capacity to control someone or to control a situation. Let’s understand this one simplest example – Let’s say you are working with your dream company and you are quite happy as well. But this year you got less %age hike in your pay and thus you tried to approach your manager. He is busy and you don’t have control on his schedule which is at the end leaving your problem unsolved. Slowly you start thinking negative about your manager, which in long run translates into your grown negativity towards your dream organization.

Now when we know the root cause, how can we get rid of it. It’s a mind game and hence it a psychology. One try to deal with as soon as he/she can. I can share the 5 effective ways which I apply to get rid of Negativity. Feel free to add yours in comment section. It may help others to deal with their situation.

Talk it out

Be extrovert for a moment and let your thoughts come out. This will help you. End of the day we all know that “Sharing is Caring

Writing Therapy

Write whatever is in your mind on a piece of paper before you sleep. As soon as you write, you will feel something coming out of your mind.  That’s the hidden anger and you are letting it go by writing it. Let it be beside your pillow overnight. Read the paper again in morning and then tear the paper. Burn it or Flush it should be the next step.

Forgive and Forget –

The simplest way to get rid or negativity is Forget. If you can’t forget then start forgiving.

Listen your favorite songs but follow a pattern –

Start with the songs which has high beats but the one you like. Slowly switch to soothing songs. No to sad songs. Remember you are trying to flush out negativity.

Reach out to neighborhood and help people who might need you –

Human mind is tuned to forget bad moments as soon as you think to help. Helping children, Serving in shelter homes, reaching out to the people who need you, are the best ways to keep yourself busy and get rid of negativity.

Everyone has their own share of thought process which they develop in due course of time. Some earn it from hard times and some from seeing others. Hope above will help you in some ways some day. Good Luck !

3 Awesome ways to master Excel for Beginners

In this blog, I am going to share “3 awesome ways to master Excel for beginners”. My previous blog in Tips and Tricks section, I shared macro to unlock password protected excel sheet. It’s time now to share some more. Use it and see your sheet working for you without any flaws.

#1 Merge cells using this simple VB Code

Merging Cells in Excel has no shortcuts. But as it said, this is Excel and you can probably achieve everything here. Go ahead and try this macro to merge your selected cells

Sub MergeCells1()
Selection.Merge
End Sub

Assign the created macro to a keyboard shortcut and get set to go.

But if wish to merge cells and align it to centre, here you go.

Sub MergeCells2()
With Selection
.HorizontalAlignment = xlCenter
.Merge
End With
End Sub

# Delete undesired Web objects from Copy and paste Excel

Copying content from Web and using it in excel comes with a pain in the form of check-boxes, pictures, logos etc. We do not want that, right. Use the below hack to get rid of such obstacles.

• Hit F5 and Excel will display the “Go To” dialog box
• Click “Special” button.
• Select the Objects option
• Click OK.

This will select a number of the objects in the worksheet. Press the Delete key and you are done.

Since I am obsessed with Macro, I would not leave you here. Go ahead and use below macro and be an expert.

Sub DeleteAllShapes()
Dim shp As Shape
For Each shp In ActiveSheet.Shapes
shp.Delete
Next
End Sub

# Remove long trailing space in an excel sheet – Space Prefix

We all download data from software’s. Till the time we don’t use any formula and we need number in text format, we are absolutely good to go. Problem is when we try to use formula and we need numbers. Suddenly, we realize there is a trailing space before the number within the same cell. For 10 or 20 cells, we can do it manually. What if data is more than 1000 in number?

No need to say thanks to me. I am here to help. Use the below macro to solve your problem

• Hit Alt+F11
• Go to Insert and Insert Module
• Paste below Macro

Sub NoSpaces()
Dim c As Range
For Each c In Selection.Cells
c = Trim(c)
Next
End Sub

• Click Save
• Close VB
• Hit Alt+F8
• Click Run

All spaces are removed. Enjoy 🙂

Let me know in comment section if this helped you in solving the problem you might be facing.

Mobile Chip set – Good to Know information

Before a decade, none of us were likely to take interest in mobile chip sets and the probable reason was less mobile selling competitors in market. Back then, we had limited options and we tend to settle with the available choices. The situation is different now. Mobile companies have grabbed the market.

In today's scenarios, mobile companies have grown like mushrooms and thus providing Consumers lots of options to select and buy latest phones with superior of specifications in budgeted price.

Growing mobile market demands something from consumer too. Consumers are getting smart and yet very far from the basic information's. Rumors and Chinese Whisper often mislead them. You agree with me that when we wish to buy a mobile, we look for Camera, Sound, Speed and ease to use. Camera and Sound is something which we understand. However, chip sets are beyond our reach of understanding. You surf through any mobile specification and you tend to over read the Chip set part. This lead to you into a situation when others knowledge whether true or false makes you build your opinion about a phone.

I will not go too technical in this article instead will try to provide a very basic info related to what is new and what is old. More than 60% of consumer will find this article helpful. If so, please feel free to appreciate the efforts by leaving comment after the blog.

The most commonly used processors in today's mobile phones are Qualcomm Snapdragon, MediaTek, Samsung Exynos, HISILICON Kirin, Nvidia Tegra and Apple Mobile Processors.

No matter what their internal specifications are we care which is new and which is old. The section below is what I promised in earlier paragraphs.

Qualcomm Snapdragon -

Starting from 2005, this US based firm has come a long way in terms of Chip set technology. They started with Snapdragon 1 series and the latest is Snapdragon 800 Series. This does not mean they have more than 800 different variants of Chip Sets. I will quote "S" as "Snapdragon". The series of Chip Sets are S1, S2, S3, S4, S200, S400, S600 and S800. S800 series has already released S800, S801, S805, S808, S810, S820, S821.

Snapdragon 835 is the latest in the league.

MediaTeK

A Taiwanese Chip set Company has its long list of Chip sets variants, capable enough to mislead most of us. Their all series start with "MT" followed with some numeric digits This is again confusing to understand and remember. Somehow, their recent series has a different name along with MT. It's called Helio. Helio X10 also known as MT6795 was first introduced in 2014. Helio P10 (MT6755), Helio X20 (MT6797) and Helio X25 (MT6797T) were introduced in Year 2015. 2016 added one more Variant Helio P20 (MT6757) to the list.

The most latest are Helio X30 (MT6799), Helio X27 (MT6797), Helio P25 (MT6757T) and Helip X23 (MT6797D) scheduled to be released in 2017.

Samsung Exynos

Samsung is a Korean firm and Exynos is their own chip set for mobile phones and Tabs. Several releases are Exynos 7 Dual, Exynos 7420, Exynos 7 Octa 7580, Exynos 7 Octa 7870, Exynos 8 Octa 8890

They started with Exynos 7 Dual and the latest is Exynos 8 Octa 8890

HISILICON Kirin

HISILICON is a Chinese Chip set firm and is growing rapidly among different Chinese mobile manufacturers. Kirin has almost similar number of releases like Samsung Exynos. K3V1, K3V2, K3V2E, Kirin 620, Kirin 650, Kirin 910, Kirin 920, Kirin 930, Kirin 950 and Kirin 960.

K3V1 was the first from HISILICON wherein Kirin 960 is the latest in the list

Nvidia Tegra

We all know Nvidia as Gaming Chip set and Drivers manufacturer and this American based firm had earned our respect in long time. Do you know that Nvidia is also into mobile Chip set manufacturing. They names it as Tegra. Tegra 1, Tegra 3, Tegra 4, Tegra 4i, Tegra K1, Tegra X1 are the chip set variants from Nvidia.

Tegra 4, Tegra 4i, Tegra K1 are mainly used for mobile phones

Last for not the least is Apple.

Apple Mobile Processors -

Apple does not manufacture Chip Set. Instead they have partnership with Samsung and other brands to build their custom Chip Set. .

Apple A series - "A" Series starts with A4 and goes upto A10. Various designs are A4, A5, A5X, A6, A6X, A7, A8, A8X, A9, A9X and A10.

Apple S series – This series is used in Apple Watches. Apple S1, Apple S1P and the latest one is Apple S2

Apple W series - Apple W1 which is used in wireless headphones and AirPods.

Apple T series - The only version released till now is Apple T1 and is designed to use in TouchID sensors in MacBook Pro. .

The designs and variants keep on developing as you must have figures so fat. Stay connected and Subscribe to this page to get more information straight to you Inbox.

Crazy night in Taiwan – New Year Eve

Taiwan remains largely undiscovered and unrecognized, but those that make it there are in for a real delight. I have been to Taiwan not once but more than thrice. Every visit to Taiwan is beyond pleasure but the most amusing experience was the New Year eve. I call that evening “A Crazy Evening in Taiwan”.

I work for a private firm and my work profile demands cross border travel at times. Everybody was sharing good bye messages of Year 2015 on social media with a hope to spend upcoming year with grace and peace more than before.  I was in Taiwan during last days of year, and was flying back to India on 1st day of 2016. Since the flight was scheduled for afternoon, I had ample opportunity to explore New Year evening 2700 miles away from India.

It was a group of three non-Taiwanese boys. Excluding me, Jitri and Andre were my alter-egos for that evening. Jitri is from Philippines and was there in Taiwan for quite some time. Andre is based out of Brampton, Ontario but living happily in Manila, Philippines. We finished our day a little early. The main agenda of the evening was to see Firework at Taipei 101 building. It was told that the 2015 Firework may be the last firework owing to the pollution threats. Being in Taiwan, I could not afford to miss the gathering.

We took the Green Line (Xindian Line) from Jingmei to Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall. From Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall, we had to change the line (Danshui Line) in order to reach Taipei Main station. Taipei main station is the prime station and a junction stations for different lines running across Taiwan. This main station is like Rajiv chowk metro station (Connaught Place) in Delhi, India. The best part of people and metro station here is that people wait in queue to board the train and if the train coach is full and there is no comfortable space to stand, people wait in queue for other train to come. There is no hurry, yet they reach on time.

“We as Indians always be in hurry and we never reach on time – We create rush“

Underneath, Taipei Main station, there is a huge electronic market. You will be able to see many electronic markets but this is the most expensive one in Taiwan. If you are looking for some good gizmo, I would rather suggest visiting local electronic mart in Taoyuan District.

Our plan to see Firework was intact till then. We had good number of hours left in our hand and hence we decided to take a ride on High Speed Rail. The next moment we all three were in queue to buy to and fro tickets. Jitri took the lead here and bought three tickets. We were heading towards Hsinchu in HSR (High Speed Rail). This was a 45 mins non-stop ride one way. And, hence a total of 90 mins round journey. We board the train and grab our seats. The train ambience was comforting. Three people seating arrangement on both sides of aisle, yet comfortable space for leg and butt.

At around 5:00 PM, we were back at Taipei main station. We walked towards Taipei 101 building. Our plan was to see the Firework from Top of Elephant Mountain which is also called as Nangang District Hiking Trail. My office colleagues from Taiwan advised me to find a spot opposite to the wind otherwise the smoke during Firework will cause disrupted view of 101 building. I had this in mind and hence we wanted to be on top and above the height of 101 so that the smoke could not ruin our excitement. Without stopping, we started hiking on Elephant Mountain. At around 7:30 PM we were on top of the mountain. It was no surprise that like us, there were many who already have reached on top and had blocked the space for perfect photo shooting. We like amateurs, didn’t bring anything to eat or drink. On the other hand, the experts have come up with complete preparation. It was cold on top of the mountain and view of Taiwan City was beyond explanation. Soon, the thirst and hunger lapped us and we decided to walk down the hill, grab some food and climb again.

We climbed down the hill. While reaching the foot of the hill, we saw couple of vendors selling boiled eggs.  I saw the brown eggs and hesitant to eat at first. When Jitri explained me that the eggs are boiled in tea leaves water and it has tea flavour, I had not one, but three.  Like me, if you ever see such eggs in Taiwan, do not hesitate rather go for it.

By the time, we finished our dinner; we lost our strength to climb the mountain again and hence decided to find a good spot near 101 building and enjoy watching Firework show from ground itself. At around 10:00 PM after having nice dinner and tea, we reached at the base of 101 building. A live DJ was playing peppy English songs and more and 1000 people were standing and enjoying the music. Why are they standing, I asked Jitri? No answer. I, Andre and Jitri started penetrating the crowd and slowly walked towards stage making our way through the crowd. We reached where DJ was playing songs and without losing any second, we started dancing as if we don’t care. Why should one care when its New Year eve? Moreover, DJ is playing music for us to dance. We danced and we danced like we never did before. In a matter of minutes, the crowd started following our steps and entire space was filled with cheer. Being an Indian, I could not resist Bhangra no matter the music genre. Taiwan found my steps amusing and they followed.

The Ultimate Crowd below - New Taipei 101 Tower

Taiwan blog post Crowd New Year Eve

After being heroes of crowd, we stepped backward and found an empty space opposite to wind flow. It was mid of the road facing north of 101 towers. Nice spot, and 101 building was clear and visible. Time tickled 11:45 PM. Only 15 mins left for me to witness the show. By the time, some of the countries in different time zone already had started New Year Celebration. Andre grabbed fresh brewed beer bottles and we sat on the mid of the road. More than 10 K heads were on road, sitting and comfortable. I missed Elephant Mountain and convinced myself to capture moments and be satisfied with the situation I was in.

The clock on 101 towers started with the countdown and people started along with. We did the same and focus our mobile camera on the tower. Firework started.

Watching firework at Taipei 101 was splendid and a treat for eyes.

My friends from office were right. We were on right spot wherein people from other side missed the most of Firework because of Smoke. I am sure people at Elephant Mountain must have good view, thought I wished for other way around. Little selfish on my part. Hehe.

Firework stopped and we started our way back to Xindian district. Andre was staying nearby 101. We shared out contact details on Facebook and like each other page. He left me and Jitri with good wished of Year 2016.

There was no point going towards Taipei main station because of crowd and hence we decided to walk our way to Liuzhangli Metro Station which is 2.5 km from Taipei 101. It was 2:00 AM, when I reached hotel. India was going to say good bye to year 2015 in next 30 mins. I being an Indian did that 2 hours before.

The same day late morning, I was on my way to India. The memory will be refreshing always. I was going through the pic and thought to share the memories with readers. Let me know your feelings in comment section below.

Anger – Learn to channelize your emotion

I have discussed motivational stories before but this topic Anger is certainly not the one to get motivate with. In this article, I will try to portrait Anger from altogether a different prospective. Let me know how you think about this article in comment section.

Anger is an extreme emotion and it stimulates in reaction of an action. Whatever may be the action, if its unpleasant, unacceptable and uncomfortable, the response often lead to an emotion known as Anger. So, when you know how and when you get angry, you know the solution as well. I would say do not control it. Instead let it went out and try to channelize it every next time you get angry or feel angry.

The sheer power of anger is overwhelming – it seems like we are at the mercy of our angry mind and there is nothing we can do.

Below are the simplest five ways which can help you channelizing your anger in right direction –

Accept the fact that you get angry

Start accepting the fact that you get angry. It does not matter that you are angry, instead what matters is how often you show such emotions.

OK, I’m still angry, but I am trying. I feel good about that, I feel proud that I am trying to change.”

Now, when you know how often you get angry, you would know when to keep a check on it.

Face your anger

Most often, it is your closed ones who face brunt of your anger. Start facing your wrath yourself. This will help you in getting close to channelizing the supreme power of anger. Anger is a negative emotion but when you face it you channelize it towards a positive energy.

Every single time you get angry, analyse your emotional outcome. You will realize that the situation was not worth the distress you have gone through. More importantly, the person you get angry on, does not deserve to get the wrath of it.

Take a break and lighten-up

Now, you know that what words, or situation or instance take the animal out of you. Take a break at the same moment. Lighten-up your brain and think of the most beautiful thing you ever had. That beauty of your life may be your mother, your wife, your adorable daughter, your pet etc. You will see that with practice, your anger is channelizing into a positive and constructive output of brain.

Let the brain do its job

Human brain is capable of changing the negatives into positives. Brain keeps all negative impressions hidden and locked inside. After some time, you tend to remember only the happy moments of your life. That’s how you end up landing into the same relation which was broken and shattered because of clashes and anger.

I’m just a bad person, my anger is too strong and it’s not going to change.”

I would say, “come on, you are strong enough to win over your anger. This emotion originates from you and which originates from you cannot be stronger than you.”

“The Best” is not Good – Check Performance

When we do, we do our best. While performing an act, we often forget that sometimes the best performance is not even good for others.  It is disappointing but the ultimate fact. This doesn’t mean that the interest with which we perform best has some lacking. This also implies to the fact that the act has been done with the purest of the intention and was targeted to bring brilliant and the best output. Then, where is the deficit? To understand this, we need to look into some facts and this has to be a real close analysis.

“Better” is not always “Good” –

We all work, at times to survive, at times to perform. Our share of effort may vary from person to person. This is to be noted that the kind of effort we put in defines the quality of outcome. Since, the effort is a dynamic attribute, even if we do better, at times it fails to meet others expectations.

Have you failed to understand? –

We should ask this question more often. In fact, we should maintain a list of self check. To perform and to deliver, understanding expectation is much needed.

Let’s understand this with an example. Say that you work for a company and there are certain set of key performance indicators. The work assigned to you demand for closure within a day. Historically the task was not completed within the time frame but things have improved and delivery as per actual time frame is now possible. Your subordinate completes the task with all his efforts but not within the same day. It is good to appreciate him/her but clearly you missed to understand the expectations. It was expected that the task should complete within a day.

Are you too difficult to feel emotions? –

Let’s say you are into customer service industry. You do a job and customer appreciates you. Be aware – Understand whether the appreciation was true or it was said out of emotional outcome. My employee performs a repair task and delivers the electronic product to customer in two days of time. Customer is happy and appreciated him despite of the fact that the said employee has not met the turnaround time. We should not be happy. Customer has not appreciated him for his work. Customer appreciated him because his previous experience might be worse. Ask yourself – Is it a healthy situation?

“Humans” are “Machine”, if they stop; they catch “Rust” –

We humans are machines. If we stop, we catch rust. Machines need continual check-up and maintenance. For us, Self-development, Self-motivation, Training, Regular Briefing and Scrutiny are the keys to stay up to mark. To my employee, my approach should exactly be in same direction. I should be encouraging him for self-development and self-motivation. To achieve this, I should be training them, coaching them, briefing them and if required should be doing a regular and periodic scrutiny.

Accept that you can’t be perfect. Accept that this may be your mistake. Accept that you will correct the wrongs. Your acceptance to the fact that you failed to perform, prepares you to perform right.

Apply above and you will see a different personality within yourself.

Welcome to Adulthood !

So, You are a graduate now.. First and for almost all, welcome to the Adulthood! The real and truth of hardship is waiting for you. Get ready for it. Think how much fun it was when we were in college. No stress, No financial problem – Parents are there to take care of worries. Now what?

When I came to New Delhi, in 2003, I was clueless. This was not because I did not figure out what to do. This was because I was not having ample back-up to support my studies. Back then one of my alter-egos Rahul Shukla told me a story which I would like to share here..

He said, “Those who are pursuing higher degrees are there to earn a “Brahm Astra”. “Brahm Astra” in Hindu mythology is known as a super Arrow which can destroy the enemy in a jiffy. If it is released there is no question that it can miss its target. Once your rival has higher education from reputed college as Brahm Astra, it would be next to impossible to defeat him. The only way left is to break their Bow which can release the Arrow. In order to do so, one has to gather many small Arrows which are sharp and can be released without even getting stopped. This way before the rival could release his super Arrow, he is bombarded with many small arrows blocking his sight, his senses and his consciousness. You would be able to hit him hard at the right point. I understood what he wanted to say. He meant to say that I should go for small but powerful certifications and hit the target much before the others.

Check Finances and its source –

There is nothing to get offensive about it. I too have gone through similar phase in my life. We need to see our financial status before taking any further decision. It is not the only deciding factor but certainly the most important one. If you are financially sound then go for further studies and strengthen your profile. Nothing to worry, if you are going through the bad patch of your life.  There are multiple options to look at.

Explore for a quick and handy job –

Grab the first job if need be. Waiting for right opportunity is a myth. The thing which is in front of you is the Opportunity. Go and Grab it. Think later on what needs to be corrected. Anything you do will be a value addition and ultimately becomes your experience. Feel confident about it.

Problems are of two type, Don’t worry and face it –

Problems are of two types. a. Problem which comes with solutions and can be fixed immediately.  Problems which are required to be judged and acted as in when time demands. Give time to your problems. You are the best to solve your problems, No one else can.

Stay Calm and Composed during Adulthood –

Best way to handle or deal with situation. Make a deal with yourself. You are one who can be defeated if you think so.

Strive to Learn –

Learning never stops. What stops is our endeavor. Try not to give up and learn at every step. Remember this is the time when you can make a difference.

Time is precious –

Use the most of it. Fun time has gone and will come again if time is valued. Remember, time has no attribute. Those who don’t respect time, it come as a bad time for them.

Apart from above, it is very important to focus and decide your goal. Choose you strength and related certifications wisely. Strengthen yourself and convert your strengths into your identity. Work on your weakness to convert them into Strengths. There would be no use if you avail many certifications and all from different fields of study.

Once you are aimed and you do it. In due course of time you will see yourself above your rivals. You will have knowledge, supporting certifications to support your knowledge, experience and your enhanced personality.

Six Sigma – A statistical approach

Six Sigma is an statistical approach. It determines whether a process is in statistical control or is stable. Statistical analysis will basically help in understanding whether the process is stable or unstable. If unstable the data analysis can also help in understanding the nature of special cause, this will in turn leads to identification of the root cause.

I am going to discuss some of the statistical and graphical tools commonly used in project improvement.

Six Sigma - Defining A Problem, Opportunity Improve & Correcting Measures:
  • Project charter – First stage in Six Sigma therefore takes place in Define phase of DMAIC. The elements of a Project Charter can vary, but they generally include the Business Case, Problem Statement, Goal Statement, Team Members/Roles, and Constraints/Boundaries, and Project Scope.
  • Deploying VOC- Voice of Customer – It includes House of Quality, Parts development, Process planning & Production planning. It is the process to understand feedback from current and future customers.
  • Value stream map – A Value Stream Map visually maps the flow of steps, delay, and information required to deliver a product or service.
Six Sigma - Analyzing processes & Performance measures:
  • Process map for recording the activities performed as part of a process.
  • Root cause analysis & Capability analysis to find uncover causes & to assess the ability of a process to meet specifications.
  • Multi-Vari chart :- It’s a tool that graphically displays patterns of variation. It is used to identify possible Xs or families of variation, such as variation within a subgroup, between subgroups, or over time.
  • Control chart tool to monitor process stability and control and Pareto chart to analyze the frequency of problems or causes.
  • Failure mode and effects analysis (FMEA)  It is an important tool for risk assessment and helps prioritize the potential problem. The objective of FMEA is to look for all the ways a product or process can fail.
Six Sigma - Improving process performance -Eradicating root causes:
  • Design of experiments (DOE) to solve problems from complex processes or systems where there are many factors influencing the outcome and where it is impossible to isolate one factor or variable from the others.
  • Kaizen event to introduce rapid change by focusing on a narrow project and using the ideas and motivation of the people who do the work.
  • Control plan to document what is needed to keep an improved process at its current level.
  • Statistical process control (SPC) for monitoring process behavior.

Important Technical Tools with Description :-

The Critical to Quality (CTQ) Tree

The critical-to-quality tree is used during the design phase of DMAIC. It is used to brainstorm and validate the needs and requirements of the customer of the process, targeted for improvement.

The steps in creating a CTQ tree are as follows:

  • Identify the customer of the process targeted for improvement.
  • Identification of the need of the customer.
  • Identify the first level of requirements of the need, that is, some characteristic of the need that determines whether the customer is happy with the need.
  • Drill down to more detailed level(s) of the requirement if necessary.
The Process Map:

During the Define phase, the project team creates the first of several process maps. A process map is a picture of the current steps in the process targeted for improvement.

A process map has five major categories of work from the identification of the suppliers of the process, the inputs the suppliers provide, the name of the process, the output of the process, and the customers of the process. Each of these steps is summarized as SIPOC to indicate the steps to the team that must be conducted to complete a process map.

The Histogram:

This tool is used during the Analysis stage of DMAIC. The project team reviews data collected during the Measure stage of DMAIC.

It is often suggested that the data be organized into graphs or charts, which makes it easier to understand, what the data is saying about the process.

Data is of two types – Discrete data (fail or pass) and Continuous data ( time, height etc.).

The Pareto Chart (80:20 rule)

Histogram is useful for continuous data, same way when the data is discrete, most teams create a Pareto chart. Discrete data is counted data – go/no-go, off/on, yes/no, and defect/no defect type data.

An Italian economist Vilfredo Pareto, in the sixteenth century proved mathematically that 80 percent of the world’s wealth was controlled by 20 percent of the population. This 80-20 rule eventually proved applicable in arenas other than economics.

When dealing with discrete data, the project team should create reason codes for why a defect occurs, and count and categorize the data into these reason codes and a pareto chart should be prepared.

The Process Summary Worksheet

The goal of a Six Sigma project team is to improve effectiveness and efficiency. Efficiency is measured in terms of cost, time, labor, or value.

The process summary worksheet is a “roll-up” of the sub process map indicating which steps add value in the process and which steps don’t add value.

The Cause-Effect Diagram (Fishbone or Ishikawa Diagram)

The most important tool to assist the project team in determining root causation is the cause-effect diagram. This tool captures all the ideas of the project team relative to what they feel are the root causes behind the current sigma performance and finally help in finding a root cause of the problem.

The Scatter Diagram

Once ideas have been prioritized after use of the cause-effect diagram, the most important thing the project team does is to validate the remaining ideas with fact and data.

The scatter diagram takes an idea about root causation and tracks corresponding data, in the response the team is trying to improve. The team can validate an idea about root causation through one of the three methods. Using basic data collection, a designed experiment, or through the scatter diagram.

The Affinity Diagram

An affinity diagram is used to help sort and categorize a large number of ideas into major themes or categories. It is especially useful when the team is ready to brainstorm solutions in the Improve stage of DMAIC. The steps in creating an affinity diagram are:

  • Have each team member write one idea per Post-it note and post on a wall randomly.
  • As ideas are read off for clarification, sort ideas into similar groups.
  • Create a ‘header’ card for each general category of ideas below it.
The Run Chart

We have discussed the histogram and Pareto chart. Think of both of these tools as similar to a camera where a snapshot of the process has been taken. But the run chart is similar to a camcorder, recording some process element over time.

The Control Chart

Similar to a run chart, a control chart uses the data from a run chart to determine the upper and lower control limits. Control limits are the expected limits of variation above and below the average of the data. These limits are mathematically calculated and indicated by dotted lines.

There are lot of other tool with which six sigma works but these are most common for every team member to be aware of and knowledgeable about.

Five Basics of Project Management

Project Management Institute also know as (PMI) defines project management as:

The application of knowledge, skills, tools and techniques to a broad range of activities in order to meet the requirements of a particular project management.

The process of delivering and controlling a project from start to finish may be simplified into 5 basic phases:

1.       Conceptualize and Initiate Project

An idea for a project in Project Management will be carefully examined. This is to determine whether or not it benefits the organization. During this phase, a decision making team will identify if the project can realistically be completed.

– Project should benefit the organization

– Project can realistically be completed

2.       Define Planning map for a Project

A project plan, project charter and/or project scope may be put in writing, outlining the work to be performed. During this phase, a team should prioritize the project, calculate a budget and schedule. Also, determine what resources are needed.

– Product Outlining to be done for execution

– Defined Project Charter or Project Scope

3.       Lets Go – Execute the Project

Resources’ tasks are distributed and teams are informed of responsibilities. This is a good time to bring up important project related information.

– Creating WBS (Work Breakdown Structure)

– Defined Roles and Responsibility Matrix

4.       Check Project performance and apply control mechanism

Project managers will compare project status and progress to the actual plan, as resources perform the scheduled work. During this phase, project managers may need to adjust schedules or do what is necessary to keep the project on track.

– Project Progress Report

– Manage necessary changes in Project

5.       Closure of the Project

After project tasks are completed and the client has approved the outcome, an evaluation is necessary to highlight project success and learn from project history.

– Project Success Report

– Note Project Take Backs

Project Management when applied along with skills gives positive results. Some more worth reading articles:
